Simeon Campbell

Dance Instructor

Simeon Campbell was born in Greenwich, South East London where he grew up as the only hearing member of his familly, due to deafness affecting his mother, father and both siblings. As a teenager, he studied at Greenwich Musical Theatre Academy where he received distinctions for BTEC First and National Diploma for Performing Arts. During this time, he had also established himself in the hip hop dance community with his own dance troupe 'Ruthless' who went on to become recognised around the UK and Europe for their choreographic talent. He went on to perform at the London 2012 Olympic opening ceremony selected by choreographer 'Kendrick Sandy' and from that had gone on to perform with Rita Ora - 'Thats how we do' on BBC's Jonathan Ross Show. Simeon has performed with the likes of Alexandra Burke, Whitney Houston on Xfactor, worked with Beyonce and her team at the 'I am Sasha Fierce' tour at the 02.

Simeon is known for his calming influence and his direct approach to teaching. His understanding of musicality and ability to breakdown his style of Hip Hop/lyrical Hip Hop for all levels, he is able to adapt to the needs of others, and strives to ensure every student takes something from each class and workshop.

Melanie Berenger

Director  /  Dance Instructor

Melanie's passion for dance started at a young age which led her into a over a decade long career in dance. She grew up in Dublin where she professionally trained in ballet, contemporary, jazz hip hop and afro dance at Sallynogin College of Further Education. She later moved to London and saw an opportunity to include dance as part of extra curricular activities in schools. She has worked with some of the top public and private schools in London. Melanie has over ten years dance teaching experience, her classes are uplifting, engaging and fun. She strives to ensure each student reaches their full potential and includes technique, choreography and freestyle in her sessions. Melanie teaches both children and adults, she teaches various dance styles such as hip hop, contemporary and dance fitness.

Catch Dance Academy continues to help children who have an interest in performing arts by giving them an opportunity to learn, train and progress within their school. Catch Dance Academy also works with local communities, providing adult dance fitness classes which are a great, fun way to keep fit!

Lauren Dowling

Dance Instructor 

Lauren's love of dance started when she was just 3 years old and since then she has trained in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, ballroom, musical theatre, lyrical, and Irish dancing. She studied dance at Inchicore college where she completed my ISTD intermediate modern jazz exam and received a QQI level 5 qualification in dance performance and dance production. During this time she had the opportunity to participate in an Erasmus trip to Vienna where she took classes at the impulstanz dance festival. She has performed in theatres all across Dublin including the Helix, the Tivoli and the O’Reilly. She was dance captain in the civic panto for past 3 years. She has also completed her dance fitness instructor qualification. She loves teaching dance as she gets to share her passion for dancing with children and adults that love it too.

Jasmine Farrell

Dance Instructor

Jasmine started dancing at the age of 4, learning various styles of dance such as Irish dancing, hip hop, commercial, contemporary, jazz, ballroom, ballet and disco freestyle. She studied at the College of Dance completing a two year dance diploma whilst also completing a commercial dance course. She has competed in All Ireland Freestyle Championships and performed in the Olympia, The Mill and The Civic Theatre. Jasmine's favourite styles to teach are lyrical and commercial. She loves the slow movements in lyrical and with commercial she loves to add her own personality to the style!
